Hey Caltech, open up this picture large and check the back ground. Is that a CO 747 in the maintenance hangar?

A-319/-320 ISP Project should start 3Q 2015, OCT, completion by 04/2016. 1st Class and Exit Row FWD.

So after the A32X's get power, which fleets will be lacking it?

There are a few projects underway (one more 777, remaining 753s and the last few 737s) to finish up but:

Airbii, Micronesia 737s and the 3 cabin 763s should get power in Y as they are converted to 2 class configuration...those should be the last groups of aircraft to get power.

After that is completed all mainline aircraft will have power in at least F/J/Y+ (quite a few will have power in Y as well) on the UAX side the E175s have power in F.
I know the voices in my head aren't real but sometimes their ideas are just awesome!!!

Does anyone know how far along the Airbus fleet is with the new blue seat covers that have the UA tag on them?

Looks more like a Airbus A-300. That is now the UNITED North Hangar. Think that was when the new Globe image was getting installed on the CAL Fleet. Prophetic photo.

Is there a start date yet for the conversion of the 3 class 777-200 to domestic 2 class?

Oops,. forgot that one. Don't know the date, but may match up with 773s or more 789s.

752:
N18112 exited MIA 2133/8Jul with Intl WiFi
N13113 entered MIA 2132/8Jul for WiFi

763:
N662UA sked to enter MIA 2141/9Jul, seems like lot's of short 763 maint visits lately

738:
N76269 sked to enter INT 2122/9Jul for WiFi/winglets/slimlines (not sure if I posted this on Part 24)
Last midlav flight looks like 1611/9Jul ORD-EWR, prior to INT ferry.

E175:
N145SY - Entered service on 7/1/2015 - Skywest
N88329 - Entered service on 7/5/2015 - Mesa
N88330 - Delivered but not yet in service - Mesa

Any word on when the streaming entertainment will be turned on for the 73NG fleets? I used the system last September on a UA A320, worked great. Is the system that will be rolled out to the 73NG fleets be dramatically different than what's in the Airbus fleet? My most recent UA flight two weeks ago was on a 2014 build 739, the wifi was solid and I was even able to stream You Tube. Is streaming Netflix, Hulu etc.. something that passengers will eventually be able to do over the wifi? I know I read someplace that they were going to stream DirecTV, any updates on that?

Airbus Fleet has a Panasonic GCS WiFi Ku Band System.

On the 737NGs, it is a Thales LiveTV KA band Wifi System.

On the Boeing 757 PS aircraft, it is the Go-Go WiFi System.

N514UA Fleet Exit this month.

I don't think this is the right forum but does anyone know if UA still provides blankets and pillows in E+ for international long haul flights?

99% sure the answer is 0.

I'd imagine the ERJ-145s go to the desert rather than the paint shop.

International cabins are fully provisioned. Domestic not so much.

Interesting observation. Ex-GUM 738 N13227 is returning to service, but apparently without DTV or WiFi per united.com.

Is this a website error, or is there a reason that it will be flying completely dark?

Does anyone know what the 757 fleet will look like after all currently planned retirements and conversions? My understanding based on this thread and others is that there will be two remaining 757 configurations - P.S. and International. How many will there be of each? Will the TATL 757s that get freed up by 763s be transitioned to the P.S. configuration before they start operating on EWR-SFO/EWR-LAX?

Also, how many domestic 757s are yet to be retired? Based on looking at schedules there can't be that many domestic 757s left in the fleet as is...
This is my signature until I think of a better one.

41 sCO 757-200s with 16 BusinessFirst seats and AVOD throughout. WIFI being installed.
15 sUA PS 757-200s with 28 Businessfirst seats and AVOD, WIFI.
21 sCO 757-300s, 9 with Directv and 12 with streaming entertainment and wifi.
15 sUA domestic 757s still in service, 11 to withdrawn by the end of the year. The remaining to be withdrawn in 2016.

The International sCO 757s are identical to the sUA PS birds except they have a smaller Business first cabin (16 v. 28). They will not be reconfigured, the peak hour EWR-LAX/SFO flights will get the sUA PS aircraft and the off peak hours will get the sCO International 757s.

From a passenger perspective the International 752s have a little bit different AVOD system as well....lower capacity, different interface and a bit small screen than on the PS ones. Other than that...same ride as on the -222s

I'm not sure if either have the streaming video (PDE) system installed actually...as for WiFi had forgotten about that difernace. Supposedly UA is coming out by the end of the year with an overlay page for the WiFi systems that will logging into each system identical.

Fleet status website's tally matches up with United website's percentage (last toggle box to see the percentage installed) so I guess the only 757s with PDE at the moment are the ex-ATA 757-300s.

Recent app releases have included "support for GoGo" in their "what's new" section. Since WiFi internet is WiFi internet and doesn't need any particular support from an app, I assume that means GoGo PDE is baked into the app now. I imagine that interface is already unified in the eyes of the user.

I know that UA is not included with any monthly plans from GoGo, but is UA's gogo service completely different than other airlines? For frequent travelers on NYC-LAX/SFO, is this going to cause an annoyance with a different account depending on the flight? I would have predicted that new UA would ditch GoGo, but now with the service on Express, I suppose there's no reason they need to.

Does anyone see Express being included in GoGo's monthly options in the future?

One can still get UA on the GoGo Unlimited monthly plan.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them switch to a satellite-based system on the p.s. flights to remain competitive...perhaps the GoGo version?

Interesting note from this information: UAL states they have 123 737NG/737MAX on order. Boeing orders and deliveries state 100 MAX and 10 737-900ER's. Both updates are as of June 30. So, did UA option 13 additional 737's? If so, what type?
