Quoting Miami (Reply 3): There's rumors of EuroWings and TAP starting flights to FLL. |
Quoting greenjet (Reply 13): I also heard the TAP rumor from someone working at FLL. I personally can't see it happening any time soon but then again TAP's new owners, led by Mr. Neeleman, said last month that they intend to expand to 10 new US destinations and 8 in Brazil. People could be jumping to conclusions based on Azul already flying to FLL. |
Quoting LPDAL (Reply 12): More of a practical question this time, is AA still sending the PMUS A330s on MIA-PHL-MIA? I'd like to visit Philadelphia in the fall / early winter, but all I see is 763s. While 767s are fun, I prefer the suite product on the A330. |

Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 21): Frontier will launch daily service between Miami and Las Vegas on October 25th. |
Quoting eal (Reply 23): I was wondering if any of the more seasoned members can tell me what happened to the "Fly Eastern" sign at MIA. I understand it was torn down, I just wanted to know when and was the story of its final days. It's a real shame that American didn't replace it or keep it |
Quote: Speaking to the Irish Independent, Aer Lingus chief executive Stephen Kavanagh said the airline is planning a number of new customer initiatives, and is also eyeing additional services to Orlando next year, and possibly a service to Miami. |
Quoting Sinlock (Reply 36): I would highly doubt jetBlue would make a move into MIA. They are making major capital investments into FLL infstructure and are said to be close to closing a land lease deal with the county to build a MX facility. |
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 37): Absolutely none of that precludes JetBlue coming to MIA. JetBlue likely loses marketshare in the Northeast markets because there are a ton of people that won't use FLL, either because it's a dump (which it is) or it's too far. MIA service can help them gain that marketshare back. |
Quoting Miami (Reply 39): China Airlines is still interested |
Quoting flightsimer (Reply 48): Does anyone have any detailed info on Mokulele starting their Florida Operations out of Key West? Like an actual starting date for one? |
