Quoting SpaceshipDC10 (Thread starter): However, I wonder how many more and to be delivered at what time? |
Quoting 2175301 (Reply 2): the 763F is anything but efficient and that FedEx is only buying them because they can get them really cheap... In fact the 763F (or conversion to F) is considered modern and efficient for the freighter market. |

Quoting 2175301 (Reply 2): In the FedEx 763F Thread you have a number of people who seem to think that the 763F is anything but efficient |
Quoting SpaceshipDC10 (Reply 4): Yeah, because the type has been around for more than three decades it becomes totally inefficient even though airlines are still operating large fleets of the type. Compared to newer aircraft it is less efficient, but there's a reason for that. Still it doesn't make it a bad aircraft to operate. Also people tend to forget the needs cargo airlines have for their business which are not really to have an aircraft capable of flying halfway around the world. If the people making such comment are the same who feel compelled to get the very latest mobile phone or computer because they have to, well... |
Quoting SpaceshipDC10 (Reply 6): I know, otherwise many cargo airlines wouldn't have last for so long. |
