Quote: The process will begin receiving new planes half of 2017. "I am proud to announce today the largest procurement program to the history," said CEO David to the financing. "The Board of Directors today approved the company to negotiate with Boeing Dreamliner jets towards equipping all over the body, which is expected to cover the purchase and lease of 15 aircraft next five years. This move is expected to be a significant step up routes network optimization, service to passengers and flight experience. " |
Quoting Tdan (Reply 2): I assume this will be a mix of 788/789s to replace the existing longhaul fleet and allow for some growth with the options? |
Quoting winterlight (Reply 10): What? No A350s to balance things out? |
Quoting winterlight (Reply 12): I was taking the pish. |
Quoting RedChili (Reply 7): The 788 has been "dead" for several years (orders). I really hope that they are going for a -9 and -10 mix. |
Quote: Israel Airlines has announced its intent to purchase and lease up to 15 787 Dreamliners |
Quoting Tdan (Reply 16): Except you can get 788 delivery slots relatively soon |
Quoting brindabella (Reply 25): How so? Is there a better delivery/stock of the 788 components? Bill |
Quoting brindabella (Reply 25): |
Quoting omerlich (Thread starter): +13 options for an unspecified a/c. |
Quoting flymia (Reply 34): While I agree MIA is a logical expansion point with the 787, it might not be a given if AA gets on MIA-TLV first. |
Quoting flymia (Reply 34): it might not be a given if AA gets on MIA-TLV first. |
Quoting Miami (Reply 38): For anyone interested in knowing the largest Jewish populations in the US: |
Quoting Miami (Reply 40): Quoting LAX772LR (Reply 39): Just saying. Something is something. |
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 41): But it's not what you claim it is. |
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 41): The largest Jewish community is New York, and then LA and Miami (and people debate which one is larger, they are close). Nothing else comes close to Miami/LA/NYC. |
Quoting Karadion (Reply 28): It's due to how Boeing does the production rate. Each variant has a protected rate. Boeing doesn't let x amount of a certain variant be produced more than another variant in a month. They do decide what the protected production rate will be at a given point in the future. So until the -10 goes into service, the -8 and -9 have a specific protected rate per month. |
Quoting AWACSooner (Reply 46): Just curious...when did they dump the 762's? I saw one in LAX a little over a decade ago and haven't seen one since. |
Quoting rbavfan (Reply 32): I think initially they will replace 763 & 772 as the -8 & -9 fit that bill. Som -10 will be in the options to replace the 747's that are to large for them, but 789 would be to small. |
