Wizz Air will add a sixth aircraft and four new destinations to its base at Sofia, Bulgaria, from March 2016.
New destinations are Alicante, Bristol, Hamburg Lubeck, and Oslo Torp; all 2x weekly.
They've only just added their fifth aircraft to the base and started new flights to Bari, Cologne, Geneva, Naples, and Munich Memmingen.
Seems like Wizz are doing pretty well!

For sure they're doing well, I've just read an article that they've served almost two million passengers last month.
It occurs to me that all of those destinations are in western Europe. I wonder when they'll open their first western European base and what airport it will be. Seems only a matter of time before eastern Europe will be too small for them.

It was discussed here already before. Wizz Air has a lot flights and routes to LTN, but most likely they will stay as not based operator (despite the fact they have overnighting and standby crews in LTN). Wizz Air is getting incentivized by LTN, because they utilize the airport capacity in off-peak. As the main example, they arrive from most of their Eastern European bases in the morning at 7:00-8:00 and then departs from LTN at 07:30-09:00 - time, when based Monarch, easyJet and Ryanair when already left for the first wawe in 06:00-07:00.

That's quite a low number of frequencies for 1 aircraft, does this mean, this based aircraft will serve another route the destinations, before returning to Sofia? Or are existing routes being upgraded as well?

I'm not surprised how well they are doing at SOF, I know several people who use them to travel LON-SOF-DWC - or at least as far as SOF and self connect to FZ to DXB. I've been told it can be far cheaper than booking full service carriers.

There are frequency increases as well, including LTN-SOF going to 21xWeek

There's an opportunity presenting itself for Wizz right now, because the "New Ryanair" is abandoning some of its former markets, and repositioning itself to stop the expansion of U2 / DY / VY in main airports (see BRU and FCO, but also others in smaller scale).
We have a nice example of this right here - FR has abandoned LBC and moved to HAM, where it is not adding new destinations but matching the ones already offered by competitors. W6 is now growing in LBC and slowly filling the gap left by FR, and there is further potential.
