AA flew the Colts to STL for the preseason game last Saturday on a 772. Was that a one off thing for preseason? Colts have been exclusively DL since the NW merger.

One of the Hawaiian A330s with the Oakland Raiders logo is N375HA; saw it last night at SFO arriving as HAL 12. Hawaiian Air ops said there should be two more with the logo.

Looks like it's the Ravens. Plane is coming from DEN, where they played the Broncos earlier, and they play the Raiders in Oakland next week.

AA doesn't fly the Phillies either, I think they used to be on DL but now UA (UA is a sponsor on the billboard behind home plate that you see on the TV broadcasts at least)... despite the AA hub in PHL. A bit odd maybe, but it does seem like UA and DL are doing much more charters than AA.
Quoting ckfred (Reply 27):

I'm surprised that the Eagles are flying DL, considering that PHL is now an AA hub. If you look at the teams that are located in hub cities, they generally fly the hub airline (Bears-UA, Falcons-DL, Cowboys-AA).
Quoting usairways85 (Reply 46):
Oddly enough it looks like AA flew the Eagles to Green Bay this weekend. Also odd is that they flew into ATW on a 332 and then out of GRB back to PHL on a 333.

YES! I flew CMH-ATL and ATL-SLC today and saw an AA 777 unloading what looked to be like a football team, so yes it was them for the Monday night game tomorrow.

I don't know if they still do, but the NY Giants have taken Amtrak to Washington and Philadelphia in the past.

This may be a dumb question to ask, but I assume there may be cargo charters for the NFL teams too? Reason I asked is when the Texans were on Hard Knocks, there's a scene of the team off-loading from their United Charter and right next to them was a UPS aircraft, and they were off loading NFL/Texans Gear off of it.

Or it could be one of the many glitches I experienced while playing Madden 16.

I'm a little confused on something. I've seen the Ravens included on the lists of both AA and DL.

Unless it's the 49ers/Raiders or Jets/Giants.  Wink

Not always..the 49ers have flipped back and forth between DL and UA over the past couple of seasons, the Raiders used HA
HP used to fly the Cardinals, but Arizona switched to NW about 10-12 years ago. Of course the Cardinals didn't tell HP, which led Doug Parker to use some foul language.

This year AA has the following teams

Baltimore Ravens
Carolina Panthers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Miami Dolphins
Dallas Cowboys

Carolina and Pittsburgh came to AA has the result of the merger as they were US customers.

This is a good question. I always assumed the cargo hold was enough to hold the team's equipment but that's a good point.

At IAH all UPS jets park on the east cargo ramp. All United charters load up at east cargo as well. Its just aircraft positioning on the ramp.

I'll have to watch it again, but if my memory is accurate, it was when they went to Richmond, Virginia to practice with the Redskins. Scene was at Richmond.
