Fedex? They claimed they were placing an order for 50 but only 46 were actually added to the tally.

15 additional A330 for China Eastern. Question is if they belong to the recent purchase of 75 A330 by China’s state aviation supply company.

"China Eastern Airlines is to acquire 15 Airbus A330s which will be delivered during 2017-18.

The airline disclosed the purchase agreement in a statement to the Shanghai stock exchange.

China Eastern has not indicated an engine selection for the aircraft although its current A330-200s and -300s are fitted with Rolls-Royce Trent 700s.

The carrier values the agreement at $3.6 billion at catalogue prices but says that Airbus has granted concessions that make the actual price “significantly lower”.

Seven aircraft will be handed over in 2017 and the remaining eight in 2018.

China’s state aviation supply company recently opted to take up to 75 A330s, but it is unclear whether the agreement is linked to the China Eastern deal."

Yes, it is indeed true.

A320 all models: 12.079 orders / 1,209 per day since EIS

B737 all models: 12.900 order / 0,7432 per day since EIS

Amazing to think in the early 70's they were building 737's at only approx 2 per month.

To be fair, back then the 737 market segment was significantly narrower than it is now and there was much more competition.

Credit to Airbus and Boeing for creating / adapting an airframe family that are now so flexible and capable that between them they can meet the entire world's demand.

Yes. Indeed.

Normally I don't do predictions, but on this one I feel pretty safe to repeat what I have stated before:
When the last A320 series leaves the FAL, it will have comfortably outnumbered the 737 series . . .    .
(and it will take a very long time before that number will be beaten again).

Although whatever it is, it'll no doubt be superseded come November.

The rampant proliferation of the single-aisle 6-abreast mainstream narrowbody market this century is for me by far the outstanding trend.
Of the 25 000 A320/737's EVER ordered, 10 000 are yet to be built.  Wow!
Absolutely staggering IMO. I can't imagine anyone really anticipated this back in the year 2000 or so.
Credit to A and B indeed for providing the products that satisfy that demand

Have they bridged the NG to Max production schedule? I thought there was still a gap meaning conversions must not be attractive to BCA.

Edit - But then a conversion would not be a net reduction!

In March Hainan Airlines announced that they would get up to 30 B787, unclear if directly ordered, leased or a mix of both.

Going through the statements of some lessors the answer seems to be "likely both":

- Avolon has "subject to" placed 5 787-9 on lease for 2016/2017 with Hainan
- Air Lease has placed 2 787-9 on lease with Hainan
Flown: A319/320/321,A332/3,A343/346, A380,AT4,AT7,B732/3/4/5/7/8/9,B742/4,B762/763,B772/77W,CR2/7/9/K,ER3/4,E70/75/90/95, F50/70/100,M11,L15,SF3,S20, AR8/1, 142/143,...

According to Reuters, SA is preparing to cancel an old order of 10 A320.

CAPE TOWN, Sept 2 (Reuters) - South African Airlines is close to finalising the cancellation of a contract to supply 10 Airbus A320 aircraft as part of plans to get the national carrier back to profitability, its chief financial officer said on Wednesday.

"We need to get the final approval from the board who can sign the documents and then we're done," Wolf Meyer told journalists at a parliamentary briefing, adding that approval was expected within days.

The article shows the A330s to be delivered from 2016, are there CEO slots still available or will these be leased?

Airbus is on record as saying the CEO-NEO gap had been bridged, suggesting no more CEO's available.

Something doesn't add up. Delivered from early 2016 means the aircraft should soon be started final assembly now. So this must either be from leasing or something other that new orders for Airbus?

not strictly necessary as the MSN's for Air AsiaX have to be assigned for others. These are - as far as I know - MSN 1670, 1674, 1707, 1712 and 1729. Just an option for Airbus to supply these numbers with in a short time schedule.

No, still 4 on order there...

September orders are not yet included in the User Defined Reports section.

Possibly. The only other candidates with more than 4 on order are Korean Air and Nippon Cargo.
