Interesting development. I wonder whether they'll also battle against TS to YUL and YQB. The A330 that will be delivered next year will have a MTOW of 242t, 380-seats (Y355 and the rest in Y+). Rochet says they don't want to do something "cheap" and thus seat pitch will be 31" or 32" as for Air Caraïbes.

Lets not forgot Air Caraibes head at one time led companies such as AOM, Air Liberte and Air Littoral, so his views(or dreams) are likely much grander than the small Caribbean operation he now commands. Lets see how thing turn out...

Like when AOM flew to SYD and NOU for instance.

Their first A350-900 is due in 2016, will they just be transferring their A330s over?

using a Gmail account for official use, is that another new step to save money??

So almost at the same time we heard about this an the possible Air France low cost long haul, I think they really want to go against each other in the routes.

They're basically utilizing the 330s for their transatlantic flights to Paris Orly as scheduled flights from either FDF or PTP.

Using a Gmail account for hiring seems very sketchy. I hope the OP has good intentions...

In any case, the French long-haul market is starting to look a bit busy. There will be soon:

- Air Caraïbes
- Air Caraïbes low-cost (Sunline)
- Air France
- Air France low-cost to be launched
- Air Austral (Réunion)
- Air Tahiti Nui (French Polynesia)
- Corsair International
- XL Airways

And Aigle Azur... what happened to their long-haul and those PEK flights?

No, Sunline will receive a brand new A330 (MSN 1727).
