Wed Sep 09, 2015 1:47 pm

It looks like the new routes will be 2x per week and all begin on December 17.

I'm sure that DSM will be a winner that's just based on the number of IA license plates in the area but MEM and FAT?

MEM probably has enough passengers that they can skim some away from PHX flights to fill 2X weekly using cheaper fares. But FAT-PHX is smaller and will be harder to find the passengers interested in an alternative of AZA.

Still no AZA-IND? I thought that G4 would have announced it by now.

I agree about DSM. Phoenix is a very popular destination out of DSM, especially in the winter-spring time. I could see this route increased pretty quickly.

Granted, PHX is a very strong market for FAT, but it's well served by AA with 5x a day. G4 might pull it off this winter for peak season, but AA's fares are not sky high and those intro $49 fares will be gone quickly. Doesn't quite make sense based upon the old G4 model of under served markets. This is anything but under served. I would expect the 319 does a LAS-FAT-AZA?

I don't think anyone currently operates PHX-MEM so I think they should do reasonably well here.

DSM should do well. G4 does very well to that region from AZA,even though US is 3x daily.

FAT is probably the most risky, but AZ-Cali generally very popular regardless.

Any chance of this being deployed on those routes?.....

Nah, I bet it would be an IWA crew and probably initially run with an MD-80! The Airbus fleet is stretched pretty thin in IWA, until more arrive into the base.

So much for all of G4's threats to move from AZA to
PHX, like that could have happened anyway.

Of course, I couldn't care less, as I'd take a bus before
I'd ever fly G4.

MEM currently has no flights to PHX, and DSM only has US/AA.

IND has both WN and US/AA on the route, too much competition perhaps? Although it doesn't appear to be a problem IND-Orlando for G4.

Interesting G4 finally starting AZA-DSM. DSM-PHX has long been served by US now AA...G4 is afraid to compete these days for sure.
