With WS serving LGW with 4 flights a day, plus AC Rouge, next summer, I'm wondering how TS will react. Surely they will need to trim their LGW flight capacity.
However, I feel there is still plenty of growth to Canada from MAN & BHX and perhaps they can look at STN too.
Thoughts ?

Since most passengers are looking for the cheapest fares, TS may not be that much in danger. Also to reduce their CASM, they have decided to dedicate their A333 on routes to London and Paris and also to increase the number of seats in those.

It's all very well adding more seats, but capacity LGW - Canada will more than double next summer.

Canada has been in this situation before and yes the fares go low....but somebody usually doesn't survive so this should be interesting. TS is a pretty strong, stable and established charter carrier so it could either be really bloody or with the fact that Rouge is going after some new markets that this could work but I do wonder if three in the bed is too much here?

So it looks like yealds will be trashed....just hope for all concerned fuel stays as low next summer then.

Transat A.T. have said they are on track for their third-best summer. It will be interesting how they evolve with that new competition. If I remember correctly, TS serves LGW year-round.

I agree. With such a strong focus on the Heathrow/Gatwick markets there's an opportunity to build elsewhere. I'd love more options for central or the north west but I have a bias given I travel there multiple times a year.
