Tue Sep 29, 2015 11:30 am

Any chance anyone of the gulf carriers will ever add TPA as one of its routes?

I think the only appearance of the ME3 at TPA will be an EK diversion from MCO.

Nothing against TPA, but I can't really see what it would offer to QR and EY, especially as QR already serves MIA.

Don't really see the market +ME3 are not usually the first in leisure destinations. I highly doubt that EU travelers will transfer at DXB, AUH or DOH to go to FL. And as for the Arabs and Indians, I don't see them going to TPA in sufficient numbers to spend their vacation there. If you have the Maldives and Seychelles right in your vicinity, why would anyone care to undergo the US visa application procedure just to go to a beach destination. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I also don't see the intercontinental business market in the TPA area that MIA has.

No......no China...no ME3

I doubt that TPA will be getting any ocean-crossing service for quite a while.

I think it would go to MIA first. And even if it were to og to TPA, only as long as it's a 777. I don't think TPA is A380 capable.
