HA708 A332 OAK-ORD?

Fri Oct 02, 2015 9:26 pm

Just saw a HA A332 departing OAK in a northeastly direction. FlightAware confirms that it's HA708 to ORD. Does anyone have insight about this flight? It appears to be a repo/charter/mx/[insert any odd reason besides regularly scheduled flight].

Probably a charter, Oakland Raiders use Hawaiian and they are in Chicago on Sunday.

10 Times a year more like including preseason (only 10 no playoffs)

Good point. For once, I'd like people to start making logical assumptions.

Sorry for the lack of logical assumptions...and for not memorizing the Raiders' schedule...

Where does the HA plane park while at ORD?

No problem, just during NFL season an HA wide body east of Arizona (expect for JFK flight) is 98% per chance a football charter.

no need to memorize the schedule. just remember that they fly the Oakland Raiders and when you see them flying to a big city with an NFL team, it will be for that reason.

Signature flight support or one of the cargo areas nearby due to space. The players and staff just get bussed to the hotel after they get off the aircraft. After seeing a lot of charters come through ORD, you get used to it.

Is it me or somehow I may be the only person from the Chicago area that noticed their flight number is the same as a suburban Chicago area code 708??????

Plus whenever an HA A332 is due for a C check in MSP or ATL (since HA contracts A332 heavy maintenance to DL TechOps.)

Then when the 717s go to MIA for their C/D checks, people really get weirded out when they start showing up in OAK.  Wow!

Sometimes coming home our bags would end up in HNL not HLN. Delta never made the mistake of sending us to HNL instead...

There isn't. Those two other games are pre-season. Go Broncos.
