Is Caesars Still Running Charters?

Sat Oct 03, 2015 7:09 am

Is caesars still running charters? They were great at actually getting weekday gamblers and people in the casinos. I don't see any listed for this fall or winter? Maybe do they just have a new link for them, i know caesars has serious financial trouble

I believe Republic Airways' E190 contract with them has expired, and the last 5 or so E190s were supposed to be leaving the fleet for good.

Don't know if Caesars has sought a replacement.
Now you're flying smart

I know out of ACY, Xtra and Via are running the flights... Via (Charter Air) has picked up several E145's for Caesars contract (802HK, 824HK and 838HK right now)... the E145's do only seat 30 though

Skyking brought a 737-400 into ROC a couple weeks ago to/from ACY. Sorry I missed it .

Is it a charter configuration with greater pitch or just 1-1 seating, or are seats blocked?

MAX’d out on MAX threads. If you are starting a thread, and it’s about the MAX - stop. There’s already a thread that covers it.

These are most likely in a standard configuration. The people on these flights are mid end customers, they provide more revenue then many customers but are not super high rollers, think of a few thousand to gamble with over a weekend (for people who gamble that is really not that much money). Any much higher gambler will get seats on a regular flight (or first class) obviously if you are high enough you are going in a learjet or a Gulfstream.

I've seen N802HK at work a few times at work for college sports charters. Each time they were listed for 30 pax so I wouldn't think blocked seating, but I haven't seen the inside. I'll see if I can get a peek next time they swing around

Where are they listing these trips now? They use to have a very easy link on the caesars homepage to show a list of all the trips. I actually have multiple relatives in NY/VT who would be interested in one of these to AC

Yeah. After a coupla trips through bankruptcy, someone bought the remains, got recertified at the end of 2014, and is flying one 734 under the new name (which was their old callsign).

According to Wiki, some company called Aerline(?) Holdings bought them. Maybe they bought both?

I don't remember ever seeing the schedule posted for more than a couple of months at a time.

The link to that schedule is now on the Total Rewards program site at this page, click the Airport Information button.

Got it. Actually, technically, AerLine Holdings LLC bought Sky King and bought Xtra around the time they got Sky KIng back up and running.

Interesting. Good catch. They both fly 734s, so it makes sense.

Looks like N741AS, which was at the "old" Sky King, came back to Songbird and is reregistered as N417XA. The aircraft is leased from AerSale, an aircraft leasing arm of AerLine Holdings LLC, which was one of the largest creditors in the Sky King bankruptcy.

I've heard (but can't confirm) that both Songbird and Xtra are now in the same building (or planning to be in the near future) but still two separate certificates.

What a twisted web...
