What Was An ERJ-135 Doing In RMG?

Mon Oct 05, 2015 4:11 pm

This weekend the largest airshow in Georgia took place (Wings Over North GA).

Looking through the flight plans filed to and from RMG, I saw that an Embraer 135 recently departed.
This is the largest non-mil plane I have heard of landing at RMG. Does anyone know what it may have been doing there?

Also, have commercial flights ever been offered to RMG? Is there ever a chance of them being started?

There was a Flight Options Legacy 600 (biz version of a ERJ135) and RMG has a 6000' foot runway, plenty of room for a large cabin biz jet

I used to fly a Legacy 650 and we operated in and out of Santos Dumont Airport in Rio DeJaneiro which has about a 4300' runway. And a mountain at one end. The most impressive thing was that 737-800s and A319s were operating there too! Talk about holding your breath watching those things leave.
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand to live and die in Dixie.
