I recently read that a Zero G Boeing 727-200 made a emergency landing at Vero Beach due to
engine problems.No one knew where the plane came from or where is was going too.Does anyone
have any more info on this. I did not think there were any active Boeing 727s in the USA.

There are numerous US operators of freight 727's today.

Here are three, although I don't think the last ever flies to 48 contiguous states.

The Tex Sutton is part of the Kalitta Charters airline. Another 727 operator is Contract Air Cargo/IFL Group. Asia Pacific does only fly out of HNL to various islands like the Marshall Islands not mainland USA.

USA Jet Airlines just got into the 727 game as well. As did Sierra West.

I think Roush Racing has a couple of 727s based at CLT.

He still has them, but they haven't flown this season - they have been using chartered flights, and last I looked, the 727s were listed for sale.
On the other hand, the Zero G 727 was at CLT a couple of weeks ago, offering rides:

Yeah they are done with them at Roush which is too bad. A couple still out there for sports teams but they are slowly disappearing too, the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Coyotes both switched to 737's last year I think it was.

I have mixed feelings about the ZERO G flights to begin with, let alone on an aging 727.
Granted, I''m sure its airworthy and all, but still.
