At first glance I thought the runway in EIS was too small - I guess it was served in the past with the same plane.

TK in November:

Inbound = 7,546 / outbound = 7,253 / total = 14,799.

December:

Inbound = 8,518 / outbound = 8,517 / total = 17,035

As for AY, they have decent loads. I'd say mid 80s.

All run year round but none are daily. AY is 3 weekly, OS is 5 weekly (going 6 weekly in the Summer) and SU is 4 weekly.

Aeroflot is year-round - 4w winter, 3w summer shoulder, 2w summer.

Finnair is 3w year-round.

Austrian is year-round, 5w most of the year, 6w peak summer.

AY used an A330 today, is it gonna be a330s now? or a mix with A343s?

I believe it's mixed. But in the Summer, they'll be using only the A330.

If they are not doing good then why are they going 6x weekly this summer? What is hurting their loads? The risk of terrorism? I don't think yields matter so much for OS since it is mostly a semi- low cost carrier.

I'm very happy to see B6 adding nonstop daily year-round service connecting FLL and SAN! This is our (San Diego's) first-ever nonstop connection to 'Lauderdale and I expect it will do well.

I would have been less surprised to see WN or even NK start this route first but it's great to see Blue expanding their ops from SDIA.

Guess the company that took over Chalks still has the leasing rights to the land where the Seaplane Base is located. Check this out! http://therealdeal.com/miami/2016/01...anding-clearance-on-watson-island/

Even talks about CBP facilities. They can just take officers from the port for the incoming flights. I assume the airline pays extra for this service. Chalks used to have CBP there before 9/11 it was a great place to fly into and out of. No security, no lines, easy in and out, especially given its downtown location. Would be great to see an airline like Cape Air maybe take a risk and see if there is more routes possible besides for just Bimini. Maybe quick hops to Key West or other islands or smaller regional Florida cities.

They'll give the same package other airlines get - waived landing fees, marketing incentives, etc., but probably not anything unique.
