Edelweiss Introduces New Livery

Tue Nov 17, 2015 1:06 pm

After the Zeppellin, WK celebrates their 20th year anniversary by introducing a new livery.

The tail looks amazing IMHO!

New livery WK

Larger Edelweiss on the tail, no flower on the front of the aircraft and shorter red section.

Looks like the old one for me, too. But sometimes a subtle design change can make a huge difference.

New design for our Edelweiss aircraft! We are happy to announce to you, that our aircraft will get a new dress in time for our 20th anniversary. The first A320 paintd in the new design (read: livery) will be deployed on the route network of Edelweiss from November 2015. We can't wait for it...

The wingtip fences are now also red with a flower on them.

Not sure it will change the airlines that much. It's really a very good product both in Y Y+ and J on long haul flight!

Short-haul too. It is a bit ironic that WK's A320s have less seats than LX's A320s, when you think what airline is supposed to be the holiday airline. You then add that WK serves very good and hot meals on average length flights (eg. Greece) and a friendly crew. I value their European product higher than LX's.

... and Switzerland titles underneath the large Edelweiss titles.

I think the (edelweiss) flower behind the nose was nice, now it's just a red nose similar to Norwegian.

HB-IJU is being transferred from LX and will be the first aircraft in this revised livery. Currently at BTS for paint.

I always wondered why. Any ideas? However, I still believe LX's J is superior to WK's.

It might not be very much longer so. It further says that the interiour will also be due to some modifications, new seats will be installed which allow "more comfort and legroom". Up to you how you want to interpret it...

Looks good. Incredible what just a little bit of colour can do for a mostly white fuselage.

There's definitely a bit of 'Norwegian' about it, but overall a nice refresh I think!

Internet onboard their A320s. LX should really step up their game on shorthaul to remain competitive, especially a charter airline offers more than the official national carrier.

Best livery in the business.

Imagine if AA saw this, they would experience so much shame that they would be forced to change their horrible ways!

Looks a lot better. Will it be introduced with their new A340s?

Whats amazing about the flower on the pail. My niece could do that. I'm more amazed with the Disney plane, R2D2 plane & some of the ones with hight end artwork on them.

Just wait until next summer season, when they perform the cabin re-config.

It will be introduced on their new A320 HB-IJU which they will get end of this month.
And of course this livery will be applied on the A340s.

Indeed, but the retrofit of the cabin led me more to the conclusion that the seatcount will change.
Not really important for this thread but Internet in planes for me is a security hazard, not a convenience.
