Bomb Threat At Airbus Plant

Fri Nov 20, 2015 12:26 pm

Not sure yet if its a real bomb or just a bad joke.

Quote:
This Friday at 12 am a bomb was thrown at the Airbus site Colomiers, near Toulouse. A whole building evacuated, with 200 people inside.

The C62 building was evacuated. Inside were about two hundred people, all headed towards the exit.

The alert was given because it would identified on the A330 mounting site, a box containing cans interconnected by wires.

The bomb squad arrived at the scene around 12:15. They must decide in the coming hours whether the threat was real or if it was a bad joke.

I wondered about this, too. The french word "son" is apparently also used for the english word "ring". But don't know if this would make more sense...

I guess another bomb thread by someone who thinks this is funny.

fils is two unrelated words : plural of fil = wire and singular/plural of son

It turns out it wasn't a bomb but a temperature measurement device cobbled together by a subcontractor to check the temps of catering carts.

They won a long time ago. You know, since a bottle of water is treated by airport security as a WMD.

Anyway, glad to hear it was nothing serious.

I think increased paranoia is a good thing. When the fear among people has reached a high enough level politicians have to actually do something to fix the immigration issue which is the direct cause of rising terror threat. If they don't do it then the people will rise against them and do it themselves.

The day people start tolerating terrorism instead of doing everything they can to stop it the terrorists have won.

All the terrorists caught in recent intra European (potential) attacks were recruited from "old" immigrants. ( or what we saw in Germany with no link to immigrants at all ).

I'd go for another much more interesting question :: who did the recruiting?

and why are intelligence agencies invariably involved without being able to stop it.
( Looks rather likely that the German NSU was a Verfassungschutz subsidy. Other groups got their materials from the BND, CIA and a turkish unit.)
The spanish trainbombers were tightly intermeshed with Spanish intelligence people.
