Pax Removed From Chris Christie's UA Flight

Sat Nov 21, 2015 5:55 am

Not too many details as to who this person is, or why they were kicked off the flight.

Article quote:

"The incident occurred Friday morning when Christie, an aide and a member of his security detail were traveling from San Francisco to Boston. The passenger was removed from the plane before takeoff at the airline’s request, Comella said. She gave no other details."

T-Minus 0.05sec until the first "They just did it to get a plane carrying Christie under MTOW" joke."

Have to admit, I was thinking that...

But after reading the story, it doesn't appear related to CC at all.

I was going to say that though we don't know the identity of the passenger, he/she was someone who did not like Christie. Then, again, that hardly narrows the list of suspects.

Hello all,

It would be ironic if it was JS in disguise fighting CC for the last seat upfront ....

How would removing a passenger delay the flight 2.5 hours?

One news story her in NJ said the disrupting pax was taking pictures, including of the flight attendants, while the plane was taxing for take off. That is a no-no for several reasons, especially from the f'/a's view.. Gov. Christie had an aide and a NJ State Police officer for security (paid for by overtaxed NJ taxpayers) with him. Maybe the pax was trying to take pics of Christie too and his security detail objected to it.

Supposedly while the person was deleting the pics of the F/As they noticed a picture of an electronic device with wires coming out of it...triggered a potential threat issue and the aircraft had to be security screened.
I know the voices in my head aren't real but sometimes their ideas are just awesome!!!

The airplane was trying to taxi out for takeoff and suddenly a bridge was closed and they had to taxi back?

If it turns out to be benign I'm guessing the passenger is put on a later flight at no cost?
