Airlines flying to MNL hemorrhage money on pax, but get a ton from checked bag fees for balikbayan boxes.
Operators losing money on the A340 have an easy solution, they can just cut off two of the hairdryers and voila that way they have an A330.
"A/C" means aircraft, not air conditioning.

1) Second tier, nee second rate US cities such as CLE, CVG, CMH, PIT, STL especially if under the rustbelt persona have very good service. They have seats to hubs, good enough for them.
2) There is a bottomless pit of O&D at the likes of ORD and similar hubs and thats why more and more, and then more and more service is always being added to the already fierce competition and even if more than 50% of filled seats on a typical hub airline originate elsewhere.

most of the a-netters feel the b757 is a beautiful plane, thus not knowing that its aft fuselage is of greater diameter than the forward one, making it actually ugly as hell! the same feature makes the b727 really sweet looking, since the fat behind goes well along with the 2nd engine!

Unions are the worst thing that's ever happened to the airline industry. Anytime an airline posts a quarterly loss or files for bankruptcy it's because of their corrupt, greedy unions. Crews should work for what the bean counters tell them they should work for and be happy about it.

When an Airbus crashes it is due to either their build or those awful computers that want to throw the pilot out of the cockpit and let's not forget those awful "joysticks", when a Boeing crashes, it's the shitty pilots.
Heavy discounts are also only an Airbus thing, Boeing always sell their planes only on merit and close to list price, because they're that amazing!
