Flybe's Purple Livery

Tue Dec 01, 2015 1:44 am

Hi All

Couple of quick questions re the new flybe purple livery. Is there a list available anywhere showing which aircraft have already been repainted? And are the Saab 2000, Twin Otter, E175 and E195 expected to see any examples painted purple?

Cheers!

G-FBEM is in the hangar at EMA until the 4th Dec, been in there a couple of days now, I can only assume it's in there to become purple as there's no other reason for it to be there I can think of as maintenance is done at EXT or BHX

The E95s should look good in purple!

I don't think it's finished - the engines are also still white. The livery is growing on me, it's quite distinctive!

Hate to say it but I think the tail is done, the Q400s have all kept a white tail as per this E95

cant say if the engines are going to get painted or not but certainly wouldn't put money on a purple tail.

The purple and that white or very light-grey logo/title look nice, though I keep looking for the cow. Where have they hidden it?

I quite like it, I sort of hope they paint the engines purple as well. I'm looking forward to seeing this one overhead!

The new livery does have a white tail, but FBEM has a rudder with the old livery / titles on it in this picture. There's also another picture on google images (search on the rego) showing the port side with the same thing.

Due to the balancing/weight of the tail rudder, it is sometimes performed separately. I've seen it a number of times at my local aircraft paint shop.

G-FBEM now has a large child's drawing on the fuselage. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff103/allan286/CVtSbWcWsAApx6q.jpg%20large_zpskpbn9fye.jpg
