This seems like an odd route... I know Austrian has a big eastern European network. Are they looking at connections east? Does Cuba really still have many business ties to former communist countries in eastern Europe?

This is quite a curious route choice indeed. There are no existing Star TATL links to HAV, and OS has no existing TATL links to the Caribbean, but apparently this is the route they chose.

I guess DME-VIE-HAV is an interesting alternative to dealing with SVO-HAV on Aeroflot.

LX (operated by EDW), 2 x a week from ZRH.
this winter on Monday/Thursday, if I'm correct.

HAV sees SU, DT, and soon CA so there are definitely still links from socialism.

Could they deadhead on the LX flights and spend only some nights?
Do LX and OS deadhead on each others flights?
