First Austrian Airlines Q400 In New Livery

The first Austrian Airlines in the new livery has been towed from the paintshop in Bratislava today. Looks really good IMHO, but still think they should abandon the "my" out of the house name.

Now we've seen an A321, 763 and Dash 8 I still don't like the plain white fuselage and the My title. Sometimes liveries grow but not this one. It looks incomplete.

Another livery that didnt need changing, what goes through manamgents heads to do such things points simply to boredom, the livery was just ten years old, unecessary waste of money in an area that really didnt need it, and to think every penny counts in this business.

The Dash almost reminds me a lot of the airberlin Dash-8s especially with the red engines. Plane spotting at VIE must be getting very boring with only red and white colored planes there since Niki (HG) switched their unique silver livery to the normal AB livery with Fly Niki titles.

Your certainly right, OS blue belly (Landor) was one of my favourite liveries and when I was in VIE last week luckily was all classic blue belly OS at terminal 1 (believe that is now the new OS terminal) although was looking for one of the new 763s to see it in comparison lined up with rest of fleet.

Have to say considering the weather was so foggy and grey in VIE the OS livery still looked great. Ironically there was a Finnair Airbus looking very bland and remember thinking that airline liveries and brands are definitely declining in design and VIE in a years time will definitely be more boring (as Niki is also red/white now).
Luckily my BA A320 was looking fine, just hope IAG don't bland the BA livery like they did IB, sorry going off topic...slightly.

I'm firmly in the "I don't like OS's 'new' livery" camp but I think the Q400 pulls it off best so far. Not saying I love it, but it's not bad.

Another useless change . Why do airlines with iconic liveries throw them into the crapper for no reason at all. Shame OS added to the list of knowing the cost of everything but the value of nothing.

Ditch the stupid my, which isn't helped by the ugly font either. Also add a red belly and this livery would look a lot better.

Yeah, the titles don't match the url. It should be myaustrian.com

or perhaps their livery just lacks the obligatory "powered by Lufthansa group" message to complement the line on the rear door.

Exactly, but perhaps OS is fixing for an AB takeover once AB goes broke in 2016. With the codeshares no longer renewing they're pretty much done for, so OS might as well start aligning colors with AB.

Yup, more red please. Would go well with their bold and cheery uniforms. Time for the euro white to go away, Europe needs more spice and more classy colors.
