American Eagle Btr_dfw Diversion

Looks like American Eagle 2764 got diverted to SHV today. Any idea why?

FLIFO says maintenance, but I have no info beyond that. Someone else may have better info on specifics.

It means they had to do a precautionary shut down of an engine.

They tap off the different stages of the engine for bleed air depending on engine power levels. Mostly for cabin air conditioning, pressurization, and anti-ice. If one of those valves fail, then they have to land immediately

I checked flightaware and it's an ExpressJet operated flight on a CRJ-200. ExpressJet has a maintenance facility in SHV so no need for a road trip unless the mechanics there are not qualified to work on a CRJ-200.
