Quoting photolppt (Reply 3): TAP Express to go head-to-head with Ryanair on selected routes. LIS-OPO-LIS to go hourly(!) and prices to match those of the train. A CP return ticket is 19,50€ or 29,90€, depending on train type. |
Quoting winGl3t (Reply 5): Both ATR and Embraers are coming from Azul which is reducing capacity on Brazilian domestic market due to the crisis on the country. |
Quoting rbrunner (Reply 8): So the E190s are clearly meant as F100 replacement. The ATR's will replace the E145s, even though they carry more passengers. But they're slower. |
Quoting SCQ83 (Reply 9): I wonder if that will mean withdrawing long haul services from OPO? It doesn't make any sense that the flag carrier of such a small country like Portugal has long-haul services from two airports. |
Quoting rbrunner (Reply 13): True. But the E145's fly routes like Porto-Milan, Lisbon-Toulouse, etc. Those go well beyond the Iberian peninsula |

Quoting SCQ83 (Reply 19): I can't see the logic of serving OVD and LCG, and probably TNG. Those Spanish routes are heavily subsidized by local governments, and even smaller planes (ATR42 and Beech 1900 until recently!) fly now half empty. Hard to think that TAP has no better place to deploy those planes. |
Quoting rbrunner (Reply 21): What about the 2 ATR42's already operated by PGA ? I think we're forgetting them (CS-TRU and CS-TRV).Will they stay? Will they go? |
Quoting efpmeneses (Reply 17): because for this flights they don't need 9 ERJ190. |
Quoting rbrunner (Reply 23): What about the livery of TAP express? Same as TAP with "express" added? |
Quoting winterlight (Reply 28): Correct. |
