The FO, in my opinion, should have asked the individual why. Chances are the situation was probably a misunderstanding. Wasn't there to witness how it went down between the FO and the individual. The question was about which CG is used for setting the trim, takeoff or zfw? I don't know how that would that would poses a security concern on behalf of the FO. What happens if a passenger asked the same question while boarding or deplaning? I say that the individual had no intention of causing harm to the anybody. I think it was bad timing for the individual to ask the FO or wrong FO to ask for that matter.
