Talk of models, I've just seen that the Turkish A321 Discover the Potential is now out in 1/400 (the scale I and many collect)  http://www.aircraftmodelstore.co.uk/...a321-discover-the-potential-1-400/

As much as I am happy for TK and everyone else for not being constricted at old IST and as a firm supporter of 3rd Airport for Istanbul, the way this project site was chosen, the people it has been awarded to(yes through a bid) the way it has been guaranteed by the treasury, and finally -not being a NIMBY- but the fact that they stabbed the final remaining lung of Istanbul, I will always have my reservations about this airport and project.

Man ... the Turkish companies are really wizards of construction ... I gotta admit! Never thought it will be so far ahead already ... I'd be happy if a full blown airport is functioning even by 2020!!!

The moderate temperatures of the last weeks have helped a lot according to an engineering who works on that site.

According to that source I talked to the construction will speed up much more once the summer months are reached

Thanks! Where do you find such great information?
I've seen it has internal code 33P too, like JIO. It's flying now to Lahore.

I constantly check the where the planes are heading to on flightradar and then make a dummy booking on their website.

Both, JIO and JIP were visitors to Pakistan yesterday

Let's see if they will change the other ex Tam A332s too - I hope they will.

Thanks! Interesting that JIO and JIP hasn't become a name after maintenance.
You mean JIR-JIZ?

Have you hear more about TC-JDM?

Btw TC-LND is heading IST. 53. A330 in TK fleet.

I'm assuming that a significant percentage of the other 85% is OTA? I don't believe a lot of people book tickets in brick and mortar sales agents these days.

TK actually promote and encourage relationships with Tour Operators and Travel Agents in most of the markets they operate in. It is their bread and butter. Often Sales Reps of TK will host parties and days out for their top performing trade partners and offer competitions for free tickets on TK. They are very pro active and seen as a friend of the travel trade.

I will be in Istanbul for a couple of days at the end of April. Currently looking into doing a quick IST-Izmir-IST trip connecting between OnurAir and Atlasglobal. Is 45min enough early in the morning (arr 0655, dep 0740)? How is the domestic terminal set up, are arriving and departing pax separated, or can I just walk over to my connecting gate without clearing security again?

I'm wondering if IST was cleared for A388 ops would EK fly to IST with the A388, or another way to frame it; will EK upgrade Istanbul to a A388 once the 3rd airport opens?

TK announced Dubrovnik/Croatia and Kosice/Slovakia to stock Exchange.

There is also a note about LOT. What is or will the deal be?

This must be it, from TK:
"In our previous disclosure dated 14.08.2015, it has been announced that a letter of understanding have been signed by Turkish Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines to initiate an enhanced cooperation between the two airlines. As of today, collaborative work and talks regarding such cooperation are still ongoing and any further development will be announced accordingly. "
I don't know what it will be but I love WAW, Poland. TK needs to fly to more destinations in Poland.
