Quoting lhpdx (Reply 111): AS will utilize all gate in E and most in D |
Quoting Airnerd (Reply 112): I'm not sure how they expect to use "most" of the D gates. Unless I missed it, so far the only airline they've said is moving to C is United. Because of the international operations, Delta, Volaris, Icelandair and Condor will need to stay in D. I'm assuming because they use widebodies, Hawaiian will also stay in D. Not sure about Virgin America, Spirit, and Frontier, but today they're all in D too. That's a lot of activity on the D gates besides Alaska. |
Quoting 32andBelow (Reply 116): KS just moved to B |
Quoting pnwpdx (Reply 118): Looks like Bill Wyatt met with Virgin Atlantic in London today. |
Quoting ANA787 (Reply 121): I could see VS operating PDX-LHR 5x/week seasonal April-October just as they did with YVR-LHR. There wouldn't be feed on either end though. BA would do MUCH better flying PDX-LHR having AS feed on the PDX side, and BA feed on the LHR side. |
Quoting BlatantEcho (Reply 123): I'm at heathrow terminal 4 right now waiting to do lhr-sea-pdx with delta. 3 hour connection in Seattle. Just Miserable. |
Quoting BlatantEcho (Reply 123): 3 hour connection in Seattle. Just Miserable. |
Quoting lhpdx (Reply 126): waiting 3 hours for a SEA/PDX flight seems like a booking error on your part. |

Quoting BlatantEcho (Reply 128): And DL sure as heck is avoiding giving revenue to AS when they can give it to themselves. |
Quoting lhpdx (Reply 123): Icelandair Boosts Portland (by stlgph Mar 11 2016 in Civil Aviation) Looks like Icelandair boosting PDX service agian............. Highlights: - season continues through January 2017 - resumption in March 2017 |
Quoting ramprat74 (Reply 128): I believe those two hangars were for KC-135's. The KC-135 is 131ft long and the wingspan is 131ft. The 737-900 is 138ft long and the wingspan is 117ft. So the Airbus fleet would fit in this hangar also. |
Quoting 32andBelow (Reply 131): As a reminder KS begins PDX/OTH service tomorrow morning! |
Quoting mwh787 (Reply 132): So does this mean that the only route that SeaPort is flying in the Oregon is PDX-PDT ? How long will that last? |
Quoting Wingtips56 (Reply 137): How long do we give PenAir in the PDX-OTH market with 1x daily (4x weekly off-season) and not the best schedule? |
Quoting Wingtips56 (Reply 137): SeaPort is in Chapter 11, so I don't see expansion and fleet replacement in the cards |
Quoting mtnwest1979 (Reply 138): Well SkyWest has exact same number of flights around the same general time, and they seem to be lasting there. |
Quoting Wingtips56 (Reply 141): OTH-PDX is competing with the car. OTH-SFO isn't. |
Quoting mwh787 (Reply 132): How long will that last? |

Quoting 32andBelow (Reply 142): Eh, I would think it would be more to get people out into the greater US aviation system. One one side you have SFO and their weather issues, or you can connect in PDX an easier airport to deal with. |

Quoting PDX88 (Reply 135): |
Quoting Wingtips56 (Reply 144): The SFO trips, however, were hours late or canceled on a large scale. So I think KS is going to do very well at ACV and RDD, pulling from OO/UAx. T |
