Quoting N14AZ (Reply 2): Hard to imagine that one part floats to La Reunion and another one to Vietnam... We shall see... |
Quoting Thunderboltdrgn (Reply 1): I don't know but I think it would be more likely to be the remains of an old Vietnam war aircraft. |
Quoting bennett123 (Reply 7): |
Quoting LGAviation (Reply 4): You never know with MH370, but Vietnam? seriously? |
Quoting bennett123 (Reply 7): Does not look like 40 years of corrosion. |
Quoting Asiaflyer (Reply 9): Quoting LGAviation (Reply 4): You never know with MH370, but Vietnam? seriously? Its actually along the route it was supposed to fly, so whats so weird with that? The theory about a crash outside western Australia has so far not been very successful.. |

Quoting N766UA (Reply 8): How do you know what 40 years of corrosion looks like in that climate with that type of metal? |
Quoting anfromme (Reply 11): Well - it actually looks cleaner (no barnacles etc) than the MH370 piece found on La Réunion. Also, with that kink it doesn't look like any piece I think you'd find on a 777, and it looks completely unpainted/stripped of paint. MH don't have bare metal on their 777s. I don't think that in those roughly two years since MH370 disappeared any piece could be so cleanly stripped of paint by natural firces like currents, sediment, etc. So in short - not sure where this might come from, but I personally would rule out a connection to MH370. |
Quoting lightsaber (Reply 21): In under 10 years a part is coated with sea life. |
Quoting scbriml (Reply 20): I found a rusty piece of metal in my garden. I wonder if that could be from MH370? |
Quoting DTWPurserBoy (Reply 25): Has the search been officially stopped yet? |
Quoting LGAviation (Reply 26): Quoting DTWPurserBoy (Reply 25): Has the search been officially stopped yet? No, search operations off the coast of Western Australia are still ongoing but as their budget is limited, they'll likely cease in Summer. |
Quoting moo (Reply 18): To me, the immediate thing that sprang to my mind with the photo was "launch vehicle payload shroud petal" or another faring off of a launch vehicle. |
Quoting planemaker (Reply 30): Have people already forgotten about the locations of the sat pings... maybe MH370 was a quantum flight. |
Quoting moo (Reply 32): There is no particular reason those sat pings are actually accurate - even the manufacturers admit this, its all conjecture based off of some data which was never meant to be location based, so there are lots of ifs, buts and maybes in the conclusions that were drawn. |
Quoting theredbaron (Reply 10): it will throw a monkey wrench to most theories guessed so far. |
Quoting lightsaber (Reply 20): I join the chorus, that doesn't look like a 777 part. |
