MSN 23 was to follow directly after MSN 21. So with MSN 21 TAC planned at March 30, I suppose MSN 23 will be the first delivery of April. Unless the schedule has changed.

I'm not understanding the question. Without CFRP the same aircraft would have been significant heavier, probably close to 160t.

Finnair's A350 3 class setup weighs the same as a three/four class 772ER.

Yes, CFRP did't necessarily turn out to be the wonder material many believed / expected / assumed with their first generation frames, but as Airbus and OEM gain more experience, weight should go down. And at least it's not appreciably worse than current Al-skinned frames.

I think it would not be quite that heavy if made of Aluminum. An Emirates 777-200ER clocks in at 140,000kg (add 7,000kg for crew and pantry), while a 777-200LR clocks in at 157,000kg (add 7,000kg for crew and pantry) so I'd split the difference and aim for a bit over 150,000kg base OEW as I could imagine the A350-900's wing in Al would probably be heavier than the 777's.

It will be intresting to see if they managed to shave off some weight for the batch 3 planes as they talked about getting a lighter interior.

Apologies, I did miss MSN23 out! It has been delayed but I only have a date for handover to the Delivery Centre which is due to take place on 18th April, so would expect TAC around week 18 which would be before MSN28.

These were the last of the Batch 2 airplanes. It would be interesting to find out if the later Finnair A350s (MSN22 and on), which are Batch 3 airplanes, have a lower OEW.
