Quoting UAEflyer (Reply 1): JFK-LHR |
Quoting National757 (Reply 3): Another one that comes to mind is LHR-JFK. |
Quoting RRTrent (Reply 6): AA, BA, VS, DL and who else? Answered below, KU, who have axed the route so it will soon be 4. |
Quoting winginit (Reply 4): CPTJNB: 9 |
Quoting GRJGeorge (Reply 10): Not so sure. South African Airways, Mango, BA/Comair, Kulula and FlySafair are the only ones currently with scheduled nonstop service on this route. FlyBlueCrane can be nr 6, although with 1-stop service Only Singapore Airlines and Ethiopian currently also fly this route as tag, but do not carry local traffic. Turkish will again for NS16, so that will make it 9 then...but only 6 being bookable. |
Quoting winginit (Reply 11): CPTJNB: - British Airways - Skywise - Ethiopian - Airlink - Mango - Comair - South African - Singapore - Turkish |
Quoting kaichinshih (Thread starter): This makes me wonder, what is the route with the largest number of operators (excluding codeshare carriers)? |
Quoting AA777223 (Reply 17): I had always heard that TPE-HKG was the heaviest travelled route by passengers. Perhaps not by number of carriers. I have no idea how many fly it. |
Quoting kaichinshih (Reply 20): With 6,885,755 passengers in 2015, TPE-HKG is the heaviest when being compared to other international routes. However, the route is less busy than some domestic routes, such as the one between Seoul and Jeju. |
Quoting B747forever (Reply 5): LAXSEA: 6 LAXYVR: 6 CDGJFK: 6 CDGTLV: 6 JFKLAX: 5 JFKLHR: 5 LAXLHR: 5 |
Quoting B747forever (Reply 5): LHR-LAX is probably one of few +10hrs long routes with 5 carriers. BAx2, AAx2, VSx2, NZx1, UAx1. |
Quoting point2point (Reply 23): DENSEA, DENPHX and DENDTW have 5 carriers. |
Quoting darksnowynight (Reply 25): Are BA still doing it through Open Skies? |
Quoting winginit (Reply 11): CPTJNB: - British Airways - Skywise - Ethiopian - Airlink - Mango - Comair - South African - Singapore - Turkish |
Quoting rbavfan (Reply 14): OK guys 1 stop service between cities is not CPT-JNB. Only CPT-JMB would make sense based on the title. If we count 1 stops every carrier flying between LGA-DCA with a stop in say ORD would count. |
Quoting ilari (Reply 40): Which route would have the most flights a day? |
Quoting B747forever (Reply 5): LHR-LAX is probably one of few +10hrs long routes with 5 carriers. BAx2, AAx2, VSx2, NZx1, UAx1. |
Quoting qfvhoqa (Reply 29): The ~14 hour SYD-LAX route also has 5: QF, AA, UA, DL, VA |
Quoting GRJGeorge (Reply 34): BA and Comair in this sense is the same airline, however presume Kulula to be the other. Yes Mango is part of SAA group and Kulula is part of Comair group, however they all operate as totally different airlines. |
Quoting RRTrent (Reply 38): In that case you have DUB-LON EI, BA, FR, WX, BE, RE, CJ, FX (FX is a bit pedantic I know... but anything to boost numbers  ![]() |
