Last AA 727 Moving From BFI To MKC

Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:39 am

Former American Airlines N874AA, which has been at the Museum of Flight in Seattle since 2003, is making a move to the National Airline History Museum (NAHM) in Kansas City. It was parked and closed to visitors in 2015 to make way for N7001U (which arrived at the museum a few weeks ago).

This article gives some details about the plan, which includes a flight from Seattle to Kansas City "by May 1."

Interesting article. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed reading it.
I felt I was traveling back in time when reading an looking at the 727.
Yes I remember N874AA being among one of the last 4 727s in MIA to fly revenue passenger flights on Apr 30th 2002, the very day American retired its last 727. She has been with American for 24 years.

Of course I will always fondly remember this elderly lady, still in great shape for her age, in the future and I will with pleasure watch her flying by at air shows if it ever happens in my life.

All the fond feelings I had for the 727...now it is the same thing with the 757. I would love to see an American 757 parked at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. That would be a nice addition, still preserved in the old AA livery that would be even nicer.

Thank you Three Holer for gracing the skies for so long.
We love you.

I'm actually planning a trip to the museum in September. Another great aircraft to see there I hope.
