Wow, I thought I knew NH well, but I had no idea their paint shop was here in town at ITM!

Hey guys,
Interesting ... but nowhere near as good as the R2-D2 Dreamliner...
My heart belongs to a little white droid with a metallic silver swivelling head, not a ball on a ball ...
I have seen the ANA R2-D2 Dreamliner in Sydney and was mightily impressed by it. I hope the BB-8 777 is better 'in the flesh' like the R2-D2 787 was.
Cheers,
Bunumuring.

And can I just point out my anger still burns over the cancellation of plans to make 1/400 diecast models of the Star Wars trio due to licensing issues I was told. I had all three on preorder through my local supplier...

I totally understand what you mean by this comment. I believe the R2-D2 scheme is much more 'realistic' and aesthetically pleasing.

Cheers,
Bunumuring.

I'm with you on this one. I too had all 3 aircraft models on pre-order. However, if you are lucky enough, you can order a 1:400 scale of R2-D2 on any ANA flight. I got 2 of them. In July of this year, 1:200 scale models will be available. Now sure if they will be available at websites such as airplaneshop.com or diecastairplane.com but for sure they will be available at the ANA fiesta store at HND Terminal 2. At that store, they have the 1:200 scale model of R2-D2 available.

Nice, saw the R2-D2 Dreamliner at MUC on the 16th March. Very cool, looking forward to C3P0, in a lovely all gold finish lol

It seems a bit late now?

Not that that 7th Star Wars film won't live on forever, but the timing of this launch lacks the punch it would have had weeks or months before the premiere?

I wonder which flight it will operate on "May the 4th" ?

It's certainly stands out. but I would tend to agree with BHXLOVER

There's still the rest of the current trilogy - SW 8 and 9. I have little no doubt the robots will play a role in the upcoming movies, considering how everything from the original trilogy has been resurrected in the latest installation.
