Thanks for posting, I love the A380 in the accompanying artists impression, LOL. Even better, the aircraft on the right resembles a 727 to my eyes

That's the future weekly Dubai-Faleolo Emirates A380 flight.

Given the way that the ME3 operate, I would not be surprised by any move they make (DXB-PTY anyone?).

Standard soft power foreign relations. All the wealthy nations do this.

There won't have been any hard promises. Just behind door conversations and implications of returning the favor when possible.

Funny how when Australia and New Zealand do this, it's "aid". When China does it, it's shady.

On the upgrade, awesome! I'll be seeing a fair bit of this airport in my life so anything to make the experience a bit cushy is nice.

That sounds far too infrequent for them. Twice daily to start with sounds reasonable.
