Hopefully soon.

Of what I know, they (MIA) are pushing for a Taiwanese carrier. But that may not be the case in the end.

Friend of mine (works at FLL) was teasing me today that FLL is getting a new airline. Likely to be launched in October but it is still unconfirmed.

Was said that the livery is purple but it could be that I was being messed around with.

It's only for the summer. And that makes sense, because CPH has more continental Europe destinations than OSL, and traffic in the summer leans heavier Miami originating. Norway has a lot of traffic to Miami because Norwegians love Craibbean cruises, the Danish don't. Hence, more capacity to Oslo during cruise season.

Quoting Miami (Reply 17):

This was planned from the beginning. They will switch for W17/18 again. I believe the primary reason is cruise traffic as Norwegians are by far the largest cruise pax in the Nordics and the majority go to MIA/FLL in the winter. In the summer the route will try to catch US cruise pax going to the Nordics where CPH is where most Nordic cruises start and stop.

I wonder if they will kill GIG-MIA? BSB-MIA was cut from 7 weekly to 3 weekly too, before the decision to end the route came about. With the economy being slow, JJ's daily 763 + AA's 772 seems to be overkill on the GIG sector. Sad to see this happening.
