Quoting Nouflyer (Reply 185):
1) Existing low-yield 18/21/263
SFO daily
YVR daily
HNL daily
PPT x3 wk
PER daily
RAR-LAX
All Asian routes
EZE x 4 wk
any future expansion routes (such as LAS, DEN)

2) Medium-yield 30/32/190 (10 frames)
LAX daily NZ5/6
LAX-LHR daily
ORD-LHR daily
IAH daily

Wouldn't this medium-yield configuration represent a major down-gauge (-30%) of premium product on LAX-LHR - a route that has historically been a high yield premium focused route for NZ - and a 25% overall reduction in capacity on the route.

Perhaps there are some days of the week that the 789 would be better sized to the load than a 77W ? NZ have the opportunity of diverting AKL-LHR passengers through SIN and PVG and I assume HKG to create premium space for LAX-LHR.
