The recent European tour should give us some clues to future destinations. Most of Europe then !

Mostly the Avro RJ100 which is what the CS100 will be replacing.

On a side note, I'm scheduled to fly SJJ-ZRH in September on the RJ100 which I am excited for - they are non-existent in the US!

Although recently ZRH-BUD was actually taken over by Helvetic using F100s.

Oh...I got there somehow, but here's the link to a Bombardier video of the European proving runs. At 2:49, they load 100ish Swiss employees on the aircraft as if they were passengers. With luggage, down the jetway, etc. Practice boarding drill. And a chance for the employees to experience the jet the way passengers would. Kind of cool. Comfortable looking cabin with big overheads. Also, what appears to be a comfortable-looking flight deck for pilots, with a modern layout of controls. (Unlike, say, the 737, which still has the controls were they were in 1962, and a cockpit designed comfort-wise for 1-hour flights. Every time I see a six-hour 737NG schedule, I feel for the poor guys crammed in the pointy end. That spot is where the 757 really shines.)

Glad I got to ride an Avro RJ100 before they're gone... A gorgeous flight over the snowy Alps, on a sunny day, in a high wing jet with two engines on each wing, is something I'll never forget.

Flew a Swiss RJ100 on Thursday - first time on one of these since an Air Zimbabwe BAe146 back in 1987. Love them.

That aircraft you saw doing route proving is MSN 50006 (aka 'P1'), which is a 'generic' production standard CS100. It was not fitted with the Swiss cabin and seats so not fully representative of the real thing. Still valid to test galley, lavatory, boarding, etc., but design-wise we'll have to wait for the roll out of MSN 50010 the first production CS100 that will go to Swiss.

The yearly BBD shareholder meeting and financial result is Friday next week, at their Mirabel CSeries FAL. As a shareholder I'll be present and they'll have us visit the factory. I hope they let us take pictures, in which case I'll share some on a.net. Pictures or not, I'll be very observant at which MSNs are on the FAL and their state of completion, as production is ramping up these days.

It is widely expected that BBD will roll out MSN 50010 (first Switch CS100). I hope they'll let us go inside and tour it!

Hopefully some more good news at the same occasion.. here are a few other announcement that I can think of (i do not have any insights... don't want to start new rumors!):

1) CS100 certified by EASE and FAA (not sure if it is up to the manufacturer to announce when it see fit or if the certification agencies issue their own press release?)
2) CS300 certified by TC (its been 4 months since CS100 was certified, they said 6 months later... maybe they got ahead of the curve?)
3) Delta firm order for CS100/CS300
4) Lufthansa group to exercise some or all of their CSeries options
5) CS500 launched with 200 firm others from Southwest (Haha! Have I just set a.net on fire?

I will miss the Avro, it's a unique design and I loved to experience the wings above me.
With 125 seats there's quite a big increase in terms of pax capacity compared to the Avro's 97 seats. Is there any information about the LF on Avro routes? They must be very good if LX chose the CS as a replacement.

ZRH-CDG is usually scheduled with packed A321 and A320s. I do not know how the CS100 will cope. Perhaps they intend to increase frequencie.

If the Avros are not often full the huge CASM advantage of the CS100 will allow for lower price tickets, thus increasing load factors. This will also make LX more competitive price wise.

Also note that quite a few of these pax will be transitting CDG and will likely have more luggage to check-in.

I would think that most pax will transit through ZRH as these CDG flts are mainly feeders for ZRH and not the other way around. LX has no interest in feeding a SkyTeam hub, AF does this from ZRH via CDG. But agreed, baggage may be a problem regardless which direction the traffic flow is.

I'd be happy just if DL places an order for 200 firm CS300 (replace MD80s, A319s and B73Gs) for delivery over the next 7-8 years. Another 100 CS100 to replace the 717s and E190s would the cherry on top!

As hynithuchi pointed out, the flow will be the other way. Regardless, curious why you think luggage will be a problem. CSeries has larger luggage bins and just as much room in the cargo hold as the Boeing and Airbus narrowbodies.

ZRH-CDG is a business heavy route. The CS100 begins 15 July - holiday season.

Wait for September, and the A321 will be back.

MAN usually sees the F100, but does occasionally get the avro too. I'll try and get down there when the CS100 comes to town

Could ZRH-SZG work with the CS100? SBB is scenic but it's such a long ride.

Can't wait to fly one when they send it to HAJ (the demonstrator was in HAJ, in deed). I had several flights with LX's Avros and two flights with Helvetic F100's, which were operated for LX on the flight to ZRH.
