Likely he doesn't have the money for one. Very few individuals own bizjets of that size. But I am surprised he went with the G200 considering you can get a Challenger 300 for that sort of money these days, and that's a better airplane in pretty much every way compared to the G200.

That is exactly the case, I work in events in one of London's 5 star hotels, and we get a lot of football teams. Barcelona flew together on an Iberia A330 charter, and all teams require the mini bar to be empty and that no women are on their floor. Of course there are strict dietary requirements as well.

Only managers arrive separately, but the team always travels together.

If you want them to be available if you need them, then yes you need to pay them. You could only pay them for the time they're flying, but then you'd either have to pay a very high hourly rate or they'd need to take second jobs to make enough money to live on (if you paid $200 per hour, which is quite high in the airline world, they'd still only be making $60,000 per year because the average private jet doesn't fly much more than 300 hours per year, and many fly less than that). And if they're going to have to take other jobs, they're going to not be available sometimes if you need them because they have other obligations. Much easier for everyone to just pay them a salary and be done with it.

If they think that they're getting rusty, they might. But they won't do it just so that they're building hours - it'll be for safety-related purposes. Also, it's not great for airplanes to sit around for too long either, so they make take it flying just to give it some exercise.

About $600 per night is a good estimate. $400 for hotels (2 rooms), $100 for meals, $100 for taxis or a rental car in order to get from the airport to the hotel and other miscellaneous expenses. Sometimes hotels may cost more because of where you're going or if there's a big event there and hotel prices are raised accordingly. Or sometimes meals will cost more and hotels will cost less, but in general no matter what the actual breakdown is $600 will cover it.

Depends. If you don't use the aircraft much, then chartering is better. But if you use it a lot, it's better to have your own. Formula One is more or less the same thing. Everyone, including contractors, travels together from home base to the track whether by road or air. True TATL midsize bizjets are CL604 and Falcon 2000EX.
The G200 is also a "runway hog" ! The G280 is far better, thanks to its new wing.

Most of the bizjets owners place their aircrafts into management companies. (Cristiano Ronaldo does too)
The company takes care of maintenance, crew , flight operations, operating commercially the aircraft when the owner does not use it, ...
Aircraft management allows cost savings and reduce ownership hassles.

The average business jet utilisation is less than 400 hours yearly.
The crew stays at home (and is paid for that or course) if no flight or in hotels if away from home.
