Aeromexico 787-9 Special Livery Contest

Sun May 01, 2016 6:31 pm

In the following link (In Spanish only), Aeromexico is calling for designs for their new 787-9.

I hope we get the inspiration for new livery. I do not think AMs current livery is particularly ugly, but it is far from inspiring!
If any of you guys have any ideas, you could participate. The prize is a trip for two persons to any of Aeromexico's destinations.

While the idea is good, this is very old news, the article is dated November, 2014.

I would say nothing came out of it, and the first of 7 787-9s o.o. is due next October only.

Tale as old as time... true as it can be.

Competition closed and winner (from Xalapa -JAL- in Veracruz state) was chosen eons ago.

Design is still a mystery but looking at the winner's previous art; the composite (ex-metal) should come out looking as a very modern, multi-colored Diego Rivera-style, flying mural.

We'll get a first glimpse when the tail fin shows up in Everett in full paint.

I wonder how it will look in real life. It reminds me of Air Malta. It will be great to see it flying.

The new "would be" livery looks great in terms of colors and layout. But i have observed from the post here on A.net that the new tail paint scheme/design is a bit varied from the design that actually got selected (Looking at those green lines cutting through the Eagle knight).Any specific reason or the scale ratio differs on the actual tail of this B-789? :?:
