Yes I was looking to book with BA a LHR-LAX trip and I noticed the cheapest flights were with Lingus via Dublin! No thanks! |
Quoting David_itl (Reply 22): Let's see,
"Hello and welcome on board this Aer Lingus flight to Dublin. We apologise for being 3 hours behind schedule due to an unforeseen event. for those passengers transferring onto our transatlantic service, sorry we screwed up royally and you are going to have stay overnight here in Dublin!" |
Have you any statistics to back up a tendancy for
EI to encounter "unforeseen events"?
EI have been operating a mini hub through
DUB over the last 4-5 years with double daily deprtures to
JFK/
ORD/
BOS that are being fed from its shorthaul network. They are operating with a very healthy loadfactor and profit margin and have an above industry average dispatch rate and aircraft block hours per day.
Their annual reports from 2011-2015 back this up.
If you dont like the stop in DUB, then say it,
if you dont like the product then say it,
if you prefer VS or BA, then say it,
if you want to queue for immigration at the other end, then say it.
Just dont be making random crap up.
