On Sunday, Mumbai Airport welcomed the inaugural Airbus A380 flight of Etihad Airways.

Thank you very much for the reports and the pictures. EY's livery seems to be made for this "beautiful dusk lighting" in Mumbai during touchdown and taxiing... Particuarly the picture no. 3 is awesome, as if the Airbus' nose is glowing, the title picture is great as well.

I must say that initially i did not like the new livery, but now I like it a lot and I am happy they did not go for another boring white body with few details in the tail like many other airlines.
Is the residence for sale on this flight?? paying a lot of money for the 3 hours flight only seems a bit illogic, but maybe it could be sold if connecting to one of the other destination. how much could it cost BOM-DXB-BOM??

Residence is available from Mumbai to JFK, costing 38K$ one way, making it most expensive one way ticket of the world.

You mean EK?
I like how EK is going to town with its special liveries. EY too has investments in sporting clubs & so on..... I hope they too start putting out special livery a/cs.
Also, i love airplanes with names. I get the UAE is a small country but an even smaller country's flag carrier - QR yet names its planes.
