Sorry I did a search and didn't see anything, but has Delta extended
JFK-
KEF service again? I have a friend who just booked on this flight at the end of December returning early January. The last mention I see of it on Delta's web site was it going to 7 months a year starting in February.

KEF is the new "now" tourist destination. Lots of traffic, hence the build up of Icelandic's fleet.

While that is true, a large part of Icelandair's buildup is because they are building a large connecting hub.
Switching
KEF to year round from
JFK is no doubt partially an attempt to maintain competitiveness with
FI and WOW air (it is a matter of when, not if, they start to serve the NYC area).

I wish
DL would upgrade from a 757 to a 767. At least during the peak summer months.
