I would say SFO, then MIA. SFO sees Asian airlines, MIA doesn't. The only 3 A380 operators that fly to MIA are AF, LH and BA, and I'm not even sure all 3 fly the A380 to MIA all year long. I don't know if EK flies to MIA.

I think it's EK that puts SFO slightly ahead, not the east asian ones. MH TG doesn't fly there at all, KE CZ OZ doesn't send the 380 (although they all go to LAX), and SQ no longer sends their 380 (used to do SIN-HKG-SFO for a short while).

Lufthansa is the only one that goes year-round with the A380 to MIA but AF and BA have plans to go year-round A380 service to MIA.

From what I know, AF is just waiting for their own A380 gate.

BA winter only

BA is resuming A380 service on July 1st.

SFO has three year-round A380 operators - BA, EK, and LH. AF is the fourth carrier that operates one of the summer flights. Interestingly, SFO doesn't have any A380 operations from the east Asian carriers although SQ operated the A380 briefly several years ago on their HKGSFO route.

LH operates the 380 into IAH, and Qantas operates it into DFW. There's some rumour that Emirates will bring the 380 back to DFW in the fall (I've heard October, but am not sure).

QF also flew the A380 to SFO. I don't think they still do, now it's a 747 they fly to SFO.

Even if QF were to source extra 380s down the road, I'm inclined to believe they'd place it on LAX-BNE before SYD-SFO. Just my guess.

IAD has three: EK and BA are year round, and I believe AF is seasonal.

Has Lufthansa stopped using the A380 to New York ? Seems like all flights are with B747's and A346 now ...

LH400/401 is an A380. New Jersey's one LH flight to FRA is a 747-8.

Since you brought it up, can anyone provide a total of both operators and flights on 380s to LAX and JFK? Off the top of my head, I can think of the following to JFK:
AF (1x)
KE (1x)
LH (1x) - seasonally
EK (4X)
SQ (1x)

Also possibly OZ and EY daily?

I just flew the 380 for the first time to MXP from JFK and it was a nice ride.

I thought KE serve ATL with the 747-8i.

You're right. It's currently a 748 or 77W depending on the day of the week, but the A380 replaces the 748 starting June 23.

Interesting, never heard that LH 400/401 was going to be a year round 380 flight going forward. What will LH use for 404/405 in the winter? Summer has had 380 / 748 combo for JFK flights but in years past, both flights saw downgauges in size for the winter season.

I was replying about the FRA-LAX service. LH456/457 is year round daily A380. During summer they add an extra daily evening service with the 747-8I (LH450/451).

IAD is currently widening Taxiway Bravo for the A380 on the north side of the International side of the A/B terminal. Rumor is that an airline that utilizes that side wants to bring in the A380 but no one has announced yet. Only 2 carriers on that side that have the A380 are LH & QR and they currently use the 748I and 77W for their service.
