Now that LH has its 5th A350 on the flight line, it is about to receive 20% of its total A350 orders already. I always had LH on top of the list of airlines likely to convert to A35K. Probably not.

I doubt it, especially with the 779 on order. However, they did say they might have ordered too few A359s, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them add more.

Also the twitter user A350blog reported that Delta had it's first A350 delivered today.

That's because it's MSN 115 and they have it coded on board as DL115. Delta 115 is a scheduled BCN-ATL flight.

After delivery it'll go through PTS induction over at ACJC and ferry to ATL on August 4th.

Thanks. What's PTS and why is Delta using the corporate jet folks at Airbus?

It's the Prior To Service induction. ACJC is installing the 2Ku wifi, inserting seat back literature and other miscellaneous tasks prior to flying it home.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but do we know where the ex-Sri Lankan and ex-QR planes will go? And what happened to that Azul order? I can't find any info on that either.

Ex-Sri Lankan and Azul planes are heading to China (Beijing Capital Airlines is taking some, not sure if all). Too early for the ex-QR frames to have a home yet. Azul is not taking the A350s right now, not sure about in the future. Note Azul was leasing the planes from Aercap (formerly ILFC), they were not from a direct Azul order placed with Airbus.

Three aircraft which were initially going to be leased to Azul will go to Hong Kong Airlines this year, with the first due out of the paint shop very soon.

So that is basically 9 tonnes of additional fuel that can be tanked over the basic model - both having the same MZFW.

You remembered right. But maybe Airbus found an extra two tons for the 275T WV. And since they say later frames would be available at 280T, perhaps LN219 was instead offered to PR at that weight?

Who will get the 100th A350? I think we are at 97 now although the tracking sheet says 94. I add on the two ntu frames that were delivered to the lessor but remain at TLS and the Delta first frame which is delivered but having post delivery installs done also at TLS.

MSN 117 is getting delivered in coming days. Next in line would be MSN 121, 122, 76. I'd like to say 122 is more possible to be the 100th. Although MSN 76 could also be a candidate. Keep in mind the QR planes are always mystery.

As SQ is about to get its 16th A350, it has almost caught up with QR, even though QR got its first plane a year and four months before SQ did. Wonder if QR will keep delaying further.

Delivery schedules are unpredictable because QR are the first planned operator. There were scheduled to be 3 deliveries in 2017 but it could be that CX will be the first in service in 2018. Even CX have pushed back their -1000s until after the last of their 22 -900s.
