RTO was performed yesterday. First flight should follow in the coming days.

Slightly O/T, but IMO the A35K is the best looking frame in a long time. QR livery suits it also.

Quite a stunner, gorgeous bird she is the 35K. Not that the 359 isn't. Etihad and BA will imho look absolutely stunning. Now c'mon LH fess up, you know you'll eventually need this machine.

Will there be a few days/weeks of familiarization when Qatar's -1000 gets delivered or will it proceed into service immediately?

I`d speculate that there would be no need. Qatar know the -900 so well, & with not too much difference
between the types I reckon they could use it "out-of-the-box" :)

I had to stare at the photo for like 5 seconds to realize they are not 2 A359s.

As I pushed back from the gate in Milwaukee this morning, I saw the A35J, sitting there with its thrust reverse doors open. What a sight. I definitely was not expecting to see that. I could2nt get picture thanks to the tiny and low mounted windows in my 737-700.

What? I've had the time to rehearse the Messiah three times and to play it in concert once, and there is still no picture of the QR A35K FF? What could be taking so much time?

I think it's just about right! Especially on the ground with it's triple-axle main landing-gear.

For me it depends on the angle. Would love to see it in person, but overall I still think it looks good. So much better than the A346.

I have flown on Etihad A346 AUH-LHR return a long time ago. As Thai Airways would say the flight was " As smooth as silk " I liked the A345/6.....

Not sure how, considering that one look at the gear can easily differentiate the two of them.
