Thanks for the updates and photos! Is 5 test flights normal for Airbus/Delta?

I thought I heard somewhere that some 737 operators were taking delivery without any inspection flights at all?

I have a question about the allocation of MSN #s for the Mobile built aircraft...are they allocated in batches or are they just individually integrated with the Euro and Chinese built frames? On planespotters.net they do not indicate which MSNs are built where, so I find it somewhat confusing to keep up! Is there a spreadsheet that anyone knows of that does show the breakdown of which frames are built where? Thanks and apologies if this has been discussed before!

Seems like the process is now working quite smoothly at the current rate.

Next challenges are to ramp the rate up and to prepare for the neos which I believe will start coming down the line in 2018.

I tend to follow the news for Mobile via the Facebook pages for the GM etc but it's great to see this plant growing well, it's amazing to know that the little bus that when launched was expected to sell a few hundred frames I think initially I read once the ROI was planned at 400 frames is now produced in 4 sites across 3 continents and well over 500 frames a year, to think now they make more in a month than they did in a year to star with
Must think up a new one soon, slow moving brain trying to get into gear ;)

That particular picture is not from the FAL in Mobile. All of the aircraft jigs in Mobile are painted white. They were traveling to either Hamburg or Toulouse. And I have no idea what airline that is for.

Thank you for the info. I didn't think it was the Mobile line. As far as I'm aware, they are only assembling aircraft for US carriers, correct?

Thank you. Do you have an updated production list for the rest of 2017 or a link?

I'm also curious if the ramp to 630 per year (60 per month by Airbus standards) is on schedule for mid-2019 with all the NEO delays.

https://xfw-spotter.blogspot.is/ has always the next few MSN.

As far as I know, Airbus talks about having to produce and stock quite a few gliders regarding the neo while waiting for the engine ramp up. They are still selling ceo and that with shorter delivery times. Line four at the A320 FAL in XFW starts operation I think this month. Four frames per month in Mobile, expected in the end of the year, brings the production nominal to 48 a month and the fourth line in XFW, at full speed, brings nominal 56. I assume that sometime between now and 2019 the neo engine producers will be able to ramp up. So yes, I believe, Airbus is on track for 60 a month sometime in 2019

Last year Airbus delivered 545 A320 family frames and had about 25 engine less neo frames standing around at years end. That looks to me being an effective production rate of 47.5 frames a month. I think output both in TLS and XFW are since last year slightly above 8 frames a month per line.
