Mon May 30, 2016 6:14 pm

Just a thought, why no early morning flight from Hong Kong that would get into LHR in the evening, like the East Coast USA flghts. Utilisation perhaps?

MIflyer12 beat me to the punch on listing the schedules, but I would add an issues with overall premise is that an early morning departure from HKG would arrive LHR midday, not in the evening.

Just trying to beat the red eye.

I took this flight last year in First Class. Great for beating jetlag. Wake up late in HK, have a leisurely afternoon, snooze a bit, eat drink, then get off and head to bed. Far far better than another other timing. The others all have too long a wait before being able to go to bed at a normal time when back in London.

My vote is for a 3AM flight that lands at 9AM. Then again I do have a penchant for going to dinner, then club, partying my ass off, and guzzling water to make a midnight or later flight.

From multiple experiences, it is perfectly possible to have dinner on the island and then drink in LKF until about 2130 and still make the midnight-ish flights to London

I don't think many people would be queueing up for a 3am flight with you!

Well HKG is a big transit hub...what difference does time of day make when you are in transit from and transit to another port, in another time zone halfway around the world? Whether it is 3am or 3pm it doesn't mean much when you are in transit and your body clock is on a different time zone. Could be enough demand for say an A350 on CX maybe?

Yes! Plus saves an extra night of accommodation, but you still get to enjoy the night out without ending festivities early to rush of to the airport
