it is nice that Auckland will get the reverse herringbone business class seats beginning Fall.

In terms of PE and EY, I guess nothing changed much... the width of EY seats remain 18" on both Airbus A340 and A350s. PE get a nicer seats.

Win Win for AKL! I will definitely consider flying to AKL on CX again, especially with those great J fares ex-Korea/Japan/Taiwan.

But sad to see first class will become historic on the Rome flights - not surprised, but it is still sad to see Rome back to 3-class operation.

Looks good for AKL.
CX offering A350 in AM, 77W in afternoon, NZ offering 772 late at night and with HX coming in the morning as well.
How long before NZ switches to 789 product on HKG service
Over 1000 seat per day direct to HKG ex AKL.
Could be some good fares on offer

HKG is too premium heavy for the 789.

Great to get the CX A350 into AKL so soon. I know which airline I'll be flying if I'm in Y-class and it won't be the one with 10-seats abreast.

BTW, when is Hong Kong Air looking at starting?

Does anyone know when CX will fly the A350 to Taoyuan Taiwan on regional familiarization flight? I would love to greet it when it comes...

I don't think FCO has had first in a few years it's a 3 class 77W isn't it? It doesn't state the frequency on the A359 I'm guessing it increases to daily?

I do wonder if NZ will add extra HKG as well to combat HX in the Dec-Feb period?

AKL at one stage was expected to the first A350 route for CX. Still good to see though.

It still is the first long-haul destination and true A350 destination as those prior ones are just for crew to acclimatise/familiarise etc. So Boom!    AKL #1

So LGW is only for familiarisation?

No great surprises.

AKL was going to be an early long haul destination for the A350 all along, and it can't come soon enough as the A340 are getting tired and quite unpopular with the passengers.

The rest are ex-A340 services which will be going to its natural successor after a short stint on the 777.
I expect more European destinations to follow suit, such as MAN, DUS, MAD, maybe ZRH and LGW, and I could see a tri-weekly FRA being added to the daily 777 service.

DUS will get the 350 before AKL too.

Will CX run the 350 to BNE, MEL, ADL and PER or will they stay A330?

I am sorry, I did not understand the reference to EY in this thread.
