Aircraft Delivery?

Mon Jan 29, 2001 10:39 am

Hi guys

Just want to know: How does Boeing or Airbus delivers short range aircraft like B737 or A319 to airlines located far away.

Example: How does Boeing delivers a 737 to Korean Air?

Ah, one of the regular questions here!

Well, for a start, because the aircraft is carrying no payload, it will have a greater range, so that helps to an extent. If they had to, they would make a technical stop somewhere to take on fuel...

The great circle distance from Seattle to Seoul is 4538NM. The 73G's typical range with payload is 3245NM, this would be greater without payload, but I imagine they would stop in, say, Ancorage, to refuel
