China Airlines A340s
I CI getting rid of their MD11s after they receive the new A340s in May?? If yes, when?? And will the TPE-SYD-AKL service be switched to A340s as well??

Indeed, at least 3 MD-11's have been sold to Federal Express in recent days.
Also, according to Marc Shaeffer's Airliner Orders Website, China Airlines will firm up orders for 9 A330-300's.

CI might lease the A330s instead of Buying them.
Ci's A340-300 will replace CI's current route opb MD-11s, includes :
TPE-SYD-AKL
TPE-HNL
TPE-AUH-FRA
TPE-AUH-FCO
As well as regional routes during the day.
CI is expected to sold all of its MD-11s this year, as well as a B747-200.
